Repousse and Chasing Workshop Sunday July 19th 10:00-1:00 The Ferry House Maidsville, WV

Repousee and chasing are ancient arts for shaping metal that are still used by jewelers and artists today. The effect is accomplished by using tools of various shapes to hammer or push the metal into a resistant "pitch." By flipping the metal and hammering from alternating sides, you can create any three dimensional design that you can imagine! Each participant will learn about the tools and techniques, and get to create their own pendant or charm out of either copper or brass.
