The Crucible is a Washington, DC dungeon and private social club at 412 V Street NE. Official materials describe a members-only 501(c)7 organization. There is no published phone number; write info@the-crucible.com.
Membership is $50 per person per year as of July 1, 2026. Apply online before you visit. New memberships are not sold as a walk-up at the door. Each member may bring one guest to an event. Guests fill out a waiver, show government photo ID, and are screened against public sex-offender databases, the same as applicants. Guests may visit twice in a calendar year before the club asks them to join.
Most nights require Crucible membership or a member host. The usual exception is Dungeon 101, the monthly outreach night, typically the first Friday. Official hours for that night start at 7:30pm with a presentation at 8pm. It is 18+, alcohol-free, and sex is not allowed during the event. Confirm the date on the calendar - holidays sometimes move it.
The published space is about 6,000 square feet, with a dance floor, lounge, private and semi-private rooms, and a dungeon. Door fees vary by night; many play parties list $25 for members and $35 for guests. Classes and skill shares often list $10 / $15. Confirm the current night on the-crucible.com/upcoming-events/.
Government photo ID is required. Official policy is that people listed on public sex-offender registries are denied membership and entry.
