Forbidden North is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit BDSM education weekend for the Edmonton community and visitors from Alberta and Saskatchewan. The official welcome says the upcoming event runs three days, October 9–11, the weekend before Canadian Thanksgiving. East Coast Kink Events lists that weekend as October 9–11, 2026. Two people in the Edmonton scene started it in 2025 as a day of classes. Community requests turned it into dungeon nights and a vendor market. Any surplus goes back into the next year, either to improve the weekend or to lower ticket prices. They cap tickets on purpose so the weekend stays small enough to feel like a family gathering, not a convention hall.

A formal Thanksgiving family-style dinner. The published plan is classes 9 AM–5 PM and the dungeon 7 PM–midnight. A restaurant is on site, with more nearby.
Buy in advance. The official ticket form is linked from the Tickets page. There are no door sales for the weekend passes. Prices on the site, in Canadian dollars: full weekend pass with dinner $200; weekend pass without dinner $175; Saturday pass $110 (14 classes, market, auction, cigar tent); Sunday pass $80. Dungeon access Friday or Saturday night is $25. Market-only access is $5, paid at the market. The site was showing limited weekend passes remaining when this listing was written. ECKE is not the box office.

The hotel page lists a free 24-hour airport shuttle, indoor pool, hot tub, water slide, fitness center, Montana's BBQ and Bar, the Den Pub, and more than 22,000 square feet of meeting space. They run a free shuttle from the closest transit stop. The route they publish is Century Park Transit Station, then the 747 bus, then the outlet mall. Shuttle windows in the current plan are 7–9 AM so you can make the first class, and 10 PM–midnight so you can catch the bus home. Email forbiddennorthorg@gmail.com if you need it.
