This is the feature that lets you preview what will appear on East Coast Kink Events before you make it public. Please only test this with things you are okay making public. What you can test publishing: • Public group listings • Public group events • Your own published education articles • Public vendor profiles • Public organization listings • Dungeon profiles • Community places and venues • Conventions, including listing, event anchor, and Dancecard pieces • Public presenter profiles Each ECKE panel should show: • Preview • What will publish • What will not publish • What is public-safe but deferred • Publish, Sync, and Unpublish controls when you have permission Who should test: Group mods, org mods, convention admins, vendors, presenters, place submitters, and education authors. What to check:
Open the ECKE panel for your group, org, convention, vendor profile, place, presenter profile, or article.
Click Preview.
Make sure private info is listed under will not publish.
Publish and open the ECKE URL.
Confirm the public page looks right.
Edit a public field on kink.social and check that it becomes stale.
Sync it.
Unpublish when you are done testing.
Things that should never appear publicly: Member lists, RSVP or attendee lists, private addresses, hidden access info, staff notes, private contact info, legal names unless intentionally public, payment data, application answers, runner-only presenter materials, or anything marked private or member-only. If you see private info on ECKE, stop testing and report it immediately. How to report issues: DM me here on on Kink.social • Entity type • kink.social URL • ECKE URL • What you expected • What actually happened Mark it urgent if private data may have appeared publicly. This is alpha. ECKE pages are public and may be indexed by search engines, so only publish things you actually intend to make public.
